Meet the team

Keith Ramsay — Charity ChairmanKeith Ramsay

I was honoured to take up the role of Chair of the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Charity in June 2019 and I find it hugely rewarding to see the impact the funds that are raised have on our patients and staff. During the recent pandemic, that giving from businesses and individuals across our community has accelerated alongside the legacy provided by Captain Sir Tom Moore for all healthcare staff and locations through NHS Charities Together. At Mid Yorkshire we are all about enhancing the experience of our patients and of our staff- they go hand in glove. My reason therefore for getting involved with the charity is because my own approach to charity fundraising aligns with that of the charity itself- namely to raise income and manage funds for “the benefit of patients and to support staff to deliver improved patient care”. In my view, it’s that simple and I look forward to working with colleagues on our fundraising activity over the next 12 months.

Gary Ellis — Charity Committee memberGary Ellis

In my day job I am Chief Executive of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust an organisation dedicated to supporting and improving the quality of life for the 5.7 million people living in former mining communities.

The NHS is such a valued institution and part of our society’s fabric. It is an honour to be able to see close up the amazing work the staff at Mid Yorkshire perform and the positive effect this has on patients health and well-being.

The role of the charity to contribute further to patients positive experience and staff welfare is something I am committed to supporting and promoting the great work the charity already does and its plans for the future.

I provide strategic leadership for the charity, develop new init iatives, build relationships and networks, and work with the team to generate income. It is also my job to ensure that the charity team feels well supported and able to do the fantastic jobs that they do.

callum pollard

I started as a Marketing Intern in July 2020 and in the amount of time that I have been here I have gained a wealth of Marketing and Communications knowledge from the MYHC team and also other departments of the Trust.

It has been extremely humbling to see the kindness and generosity of our local communities to continue to fundraise and donate throughout the pandemic. I am excited to see all the amazing things that MY Hospitals Charity will be able to achieve.

Louise Caldwell — Community Fundraising officer

I work with schools, organisations and people in the local community to raise awareness of the charity and help support them with their fundraising events

There are always new and exciting opportunities to raise money to help support our local hospitals and community services.

Paige Hughes — Team Administrator

I am the first contact within the Charity Team. I’m usually the person at the end of the phone answering questions and helping people navigate through making donations, setting up fundraising events.

My colleagues and the variety of people I speak to daily show me the generosity, kindness and overall positive outlook of our local communities. They make me look forward to work and help me see the value in what we do as a team.

Macy Greaves — Communications & Marketing Assistant

My role involves communicating with other members in the team to produce the marketing and social media materials needed for events, donations and much more. I also come up with my own ideas mainly for the charity social media pages, and create content for these.

Seeing first hand the people you are helping through donations and fundraising, it is an honour to be able to take donations up to the wards, and see the equipment we have funded being put to use by staff and patients.
