Whether you're considering making a donation, have questions about our charity's mission or upcoming events, or just want to swing by to chat with one of our friendly staff members, we’d love to see you. Keith Ramsay — Chair of Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust and MY Hospitals Charity

"I was honoured to take up the role of Chair of the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Charity in June 2019 and I find it hugely rewarding to see the impact the funds that are raised have on our patients and staff. During the recent pandemic, that giving from businesses and individuals across our community has accelerated alongside the legacy provided by Captain Sir Tom Moore for all healthcare staff and locations through NHS Charities Together.

"At Mid Yorkshire we are all about enhancing the experience of our patients and of our staff- they go hand in glove. My reason therefore for getting involved with the charity is because my own approach to charity fundraising aligns with that of the charity itself- namely to raise income and manage funds for “the benefit of patients and to support staff to deliver improved patient care. In my view, it’s that simple and I look forward to working with colleagues on our fundraising activity over the next 12 months."

Emma Dickens — Associate Director of Charity and Partnerships

"I provide strategic leadership for the charity, work with the team to develop new initiatives, build relationships and networks, and generate income. It is also my job to ensure that the charity team feels well supported and able to do the fantastic jobs that they do."

Sam Bentley — Community Fundraising Officer

"I’m always on the lookout for passionate people who want to make a real difference – whether that’s by joining us at one of our events, choosing us as your Charity of the Year, or even hosting your own fundraiser. Whatever you have in mind, I’d love to hear how we can work together to give back and create a lasting impact for our patients, staff, and volunteers.

"I’d especially love to connect with local businesses, clubs, schools, community groups, and individuals who want to get involved. Whether you're brimming with ideas or just looking for a place to start, I’ll be right there with you – your helping hand every step of the way.

"And I don’t just talk the talk – I like to lead by example. From plunging into icy waters to walking across fire, I’m always up for a challenge. I’ve just completed my first half marathon at the Great North Run and looking for the next event… So if you’ve got a bold idea, I’m ready to make it happen and potentially join you in your challenge.

"Let’s do something incredible and make a lasting impact together. Get in touch – I can’t wait to hear from you."

Paige Hughes — Team Administrator

"I am the first contact within the Charity Team. I’m usually the person at the end of the phone answering questions and helping people navigate through making donations, setting up fundraising events.

"My colleagues and the variety of people I speak to daily show me the generosity, kindness and overall positive outlook of our local communities. They make me look forward to work and help me see the value in what we do as a team."

Tom White — Communications and Marketing Assistant

"I'm the Marketing and Communications placement student for the year! My role in the Charity is to share information about things the Charity are doing and supporting. There’s a lot of amazing things going on, so keep an eye on our social media channels to see what we’re up to and how you can get involved!"
