School fundraising

a

As we work together with our wider communities to make a difference, there's plenty of opportunities to bring your whole school and community together to help our hospitals do more.

How we can support you

Our Charity want to ensure your school get the most out of your fundraising experience,so we're here to support you as much as we can:

  • Contact us to discuss fundraising ideas and how to maximise your fundraising
  • Attend your fundraising event to show our gratitude for the impact your fundraising has made
  • Hold a cheque presentation at the end of the event / challenge to celebrate how much has been raised

The next steps

If you're planning a fundraiser and need inspiration then check out our Fundraising A-Z and all our Fundraising tips for some great ideas on how to raise money.

More inspiration

Non Uniform day

All pupils are allowed to attend school in their own clothes, in return each pupil donates a £1. If you're looking to fundraise during the festive period, then why not make it Christmas Jumper Day!

Talent show

All pupils have the chance to showcase their talent with the opportunity for parents to watch for a donation.

Sponsored silence

Challenge your pupils to participate in an hour (or longer) silence to help raise money for our hospitals.

Sports day

Hold a Sports Day and include a parent and child challenge where the parent has to donate to enter.

Bake sale

You can't go wrong with a simple bake sale! Bake some tasty recepies to sell on school breaktimes, you can go sweet or savoury.

Guess the...

Get the pupils to guess the name of a Teddy or guess the number of sweets in a jar at a donation to enter.

Readathon

Reading is really important for our mental wellbeing and student’s academic success. Why not encourage a love of reading and raise money at the same time by holding a sponsored readathon? Take it one step further and ask us for recommended books that involve hospital stays or being unwell to boost your students awareness and empathy.

Reindeer Run

Run, skip, wheel or walk as far as you can in your reindeer antlers and raise money for MY Hospitals Charity.

Bunny Hop Challenge

Challenge yourself to see how many bunny hops you can complete in a certain time and ask people to sponsor you.

Read more about the impact of your donations here, and the difference your school could make. Feel free to read through our School Information Pack which explains more about the importance of choosing to support your local NHS Charity.
