Refurbishment of ICU Balcony at Pinderfields Hospital

Our Intensive Care Unit Team work incredibly hard to care for and protect our Communities. We are so proud of our teams, and when the request was made to support the urgent refurbishment of our ICU balcony to provide a safe, comfortable and protected space for our teams, we were so humbled to be able to help them achieve this.
The balcony offers a place for staff to enjoy some private time away from their busy shifts as it’s only accessible via the ICU department. Frosted glass surrounds the balcony allowing it to be fully privatised. The canopy roofing also allows the balcony to be used in harsher weather conditions, enabling a sheltered environment. With appropriate outside furniture this space can be enjoyed comfortably and securely.
This project was funded as a result of partnership working with our Charity and NHS Charities Together. A huge thanks to NHS Charities Together for their continued support. This project truly demonstrates how much we can achieve when we work together with our partnership Charities.
