Celebrating 150 years of Dewsbury!

MY Hospitals Charity are proud to be celebrating 150 years of Dewsbury and District Hospitals amazing commitment to its community. To celebrate this incredible achievement, we will be hosting events and fundraisers all year long to help raise funds to further enhance the vital care at Dewsbury and District Hospital. Get involved and join our “CLUB 150!"

Our events will include an Iftar event during Ramadan, a special anniversary photograph, and a celebration event towards the end of the year.

To join us in celebrating 150 years, feel free to explore the events listed below and find out how you want to get involved. What will your 150 be?

You can support Dewsbury 150 as a team or as an individual, fundraising to help the hospital and community services do more. Get involved and join Club150 in your own way. You could run a total of 150 miles, read 1,500 pages, skydive 15,000ft, or walk 15,000 steps.

You can also text CLUBDDH to 70085 to donate £5, texts cost £5 plus your standard network rate. Donations will help us enhance and support the care given at Dewsbury and District Hospital to keep going above and beyond for our patients and staff.

Upcoming events

Be part of history and our Dewsbury 150 photograph on Wednesday 18th March

As part of our fantastic celebrations, we’re giving staff, patients, families and our Dewsbury community the chance to be a part of history with a special commemorative photograph.

Come along on Wednesday 18th March for an iconic photo of everyone positioned to spell out ‘150’. Using a drone and hoping to capture 150 people, this photo will be a huge part of the celebrations later in the year and in years to come as people look back on the historic milestone.

The event is completely free to attend! At 12pm, we will walk from the Ridings Centre at Dewsbury and District Hospital towards Staincliffe Sports and Social Club (64 Halifax Rd, Staincliffe, Batley WF17 7BA), ready for the photo to be taken at 12.30pm.
