Entertainment Resources for our Outpatient Breast Clinic | Your impact

Our teams continue to work so hard to support our Patients and Families through these unprecedented times. Every day NHS Staff dedicate themselves to caring for our loved ones, and for that we will never be able to thank them enough.

Entertainment resources for our Patients and their families make such a huge difference for the experience of those visiting our Departments, most recently we have funded a TV to support our Outpatients attending their Breast Clinic appointment at Pinderfields Hospital. This would not have been possible without the support of incredibly kind donations to our Charity.

So nice to have the luxury of a TV in the waiting area of Gate 22, this creates a helpful distraction from the wait that patients have before they get seen in clinic. Breast clinic can sometimes be a lengthy appointment. Patients see the consultant and have tests and then have to take a seat back in the waiting area while results are available, having a TV means the wait goes by a little quicker.
 

The impact this made to a Patient attending the department:

 

As a patient on Gate 22 I feel a television in the waiting area is essential as it is a distraction from the upcoming appointment, especially when awaiting results. If the TV wasn't there you would just be staring at the wall.
