Building on the excitement of being shortlisted for the 2025 Charity Times Awards last month, MY Hospitals Charity is proud to announce it has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Wakefield Business Awards.
Shortlisted in the Not-for-profit/Charity of the Year category, this further recognition acknowledges an exceptional year of growth, innovation, and meaningful community contribution.
The Charity supports Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, which provides health care across Wakefield, Pontefract and Dewsbury. Thanks to generous donations and community support, the team can enhance the experience of patients and families in hospitals, homes, and communities, while improving wellbeing for staff and local people.
Keith Ramsay, Chair of MY Hospitals Charity and Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust said:
“Being shortlisted for the Wakefield Business Awards is a tremendous recognition of the commitment and generosity of our staff, supporters, and local communities.
“In just a short time, the Charity has grown into a powerful force for good, building partnerships, reducing health inequalities, and funding projects that make a real difference to people’s lives. We are proud to stand alongside so many inspiring organisations across the district.”
The winners of the Wakefield Business Awards will be announced on Thursday 13 November 2025 at Tileyard North, where the Charity team will be celebrating alongside other finalists from the local area.
Raising over £1.1 million last year, this is also an opportunity for the team to say thank you to everyone who supported the MRI Appeal, Hands Across Wakefield, and other fundraising campaigns which made a huge difference. Thanks to the generosity of donors, fundraisers, and volunteers, MY Hospitals Charity continues to drive real, positive change, helping its hospitals to become places of outstanding care, compassion, and community pride.
