Pinderfields Reflection Garden Opening

9th December 2021

We are honoured to share the news of our Pinderfields Reflection Garden official opening, which took place on the morning of 9th December 2021.

The service began with a brief ceremony in our Trust Chapel, directed by Brian Chiyesu, to honour all the staff members who sadly lost their lives during Covid-19. Following the ceremony, our Chief Executive, Len Richards, as well as our Charity Chairman, Keith Ramsay, the Trust Board, and the Chaplaincy Team, all attended the official opening.

As the garden is partially funded through partnership of both MY Hospitals Charity and NHS Charities Together we were also honoured to have Seb Hargreaves from NHS Charities Together attend the ceremony and opening.

The opening service is a poignant moment for our Charity and we hope the area can now be used as an outside space for staff at The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust to relax and unwind outside of their shifts, in a location that is easily accessible to all.

Chief Executive of The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust commented:

It was a lovely ceremony and a really positive gesture. Thank you for the invite and the Privelege of laying a wreath to recognise the impact this terrible Pandemic has had on staff across our NHS.

Projects like this wouldn't be possible without the continous support recieved from you, so thank you...together we are making a difference.
